Furney never fails. And neither, it would seem, does emerging Portland artist Revival. Their signatures and influences complementing each other with silky style, both cuts here are a cut above: “Concrete Forest” is all about the swooning strings, lilting pianos and ebbing, flowing amens. “You & I”, meanwhile, rolls and stretches with such a smooth, slinky fretless bassline and dreamy vocal textures it wouldn’t have gone amiss on the “K+D Sessions”. Heaven.
